Pennsylvania Adults for Vaping Choice is a petition to the General Assembly, the Governor, and the Attorney General to amend Act 57 of 2025. We support our neighborhood small vape shops.

How to sign

Our message

We are adults, and we can make informed decisions about legal products. Many of us smoked for years, and vaping is what finally helped us quit or cut back.

Our voices were not heard before Act 57 passed. Most of us learned about it from the stores where we shop, not from the government.

We trust our local vape shops. They know us, check our ID, and help us choose the right products.

What we ask

  1. Restore adult choice. Amend or repeal the ENDS Directory restrictions so licensed shops can sell a wide range of vapor products to adults.
  2. Keep vapor products away from minors. Strict age checks and serious penalties for any sale to a minor.
  3. Treat adults consistently. No fewer choices for vapor products than for cigarettes.
  4. Be fair to small businesses. Direct notice, staged deadlines, and tax refunds for products that can no longer be sold.
  5. Listen to consumers. Public hearings that include adult consumers and former smokers.

Questions we ask our legislators

  1. If the goal is protecting minors, why does Act 57 limit which products adults may buy, instead of strictly enforcing the 21-and-over age limit on every nicotine product, including cigarettes?
  2. Cigarettes remain fully available to adults. Why restrict the products many adults use to quit smoking, while leaving the more dangerous product unchanged?
  3. Secondhand cigarette smoke harms nonsmokers, and vapor aerosol is considered less harmful, though not harmless. What evidence led the legislature to restrict adults' vapor products while making no change to cigarettes?
  4. What is the plan for adults who quit smoking with vapor products and may return to cigarettes because their products are no longer sold?

Sign in person at any participating PVRA member store. You must be 21 or older and live in Pennsylvania. Each person signs once.
